She was a daughter, a mother, a friend, and a human being who had been fighting battles that many people could never see. Those who truly knew Cayla understood that her struggles with mental health did not begin yesterday. She had been carrying those battles since she was a child, yet she continued to push forward, work hard, make plans, love deeply, and find reasons to keep going.<\/p>\n<p>She had people who cared about her. She had therapists, resources, friends, and people she could call when she needed someone. She was making plans. There were trips she wanted to take, girls&#8217; nights being discussed, concerts and comedy shows she hoped to attend, and moments she was still looking forward to. That is what makes her loss so heartbreaking. Sometimes, someone can be surrounded by love and still be carrying a pain so heavy that nobody else can fully see it.<\/p>\n<p>For Cayla, her children meant everything. They were among the greatest sources of strength throughout her life. When circumstances changed and she was separated from them, the pain became something she struggled to bear. No one outside her heart can know every thought she carried or every moment she endured.<\/p>\n<p>Today, four children must face a world without their mother, and that loss is immeasurable. They will grow up with memories, photographs, stories, and pieces of Cayla that will forever remain part of them.<\/p>\n<p>May we remember Cayla with compassion instead of judgment. May we resist turning her life into an internet narrative or using her pain to prove a point. She was a person, not a headline. She was loved, she mattered, and her life was worth so much more than the circumstances of her final moments.<\/p>\n<p>Rest peacefully, Cayla. You fought for so long. May you finally know the peace you were searching for.
