In the early hours of Monday morning, Terrian answered a call to duty near Highway 18 and Hermanville Road, responding with fellow deputies to a gathering that had turned into a disturbance. Then, in a moment no family should ever have to endure, gunfire erupted. Terrian was struck while carrying out the responsibility he had devoted himself to\u2014protecting others.<\/p>\n
His fellow deputies immediately rushed to his aid and transported him to an area hospital, but despite their efforts, Terrian succumbed to his wounds.<\/p>\n
Behind the badge was a son, a brother, a friend, a loved one, and a man whose life held meaning far beyond his uniform. His family received the heartbreaking news that no family ever wants to hear.<\/p>\n
