The world is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ryan Lane Simpson, 21, of Amarillo, Texas, whose young life came to a sudden and tragic end Friday afternoon following a devastating crash in Potter County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ryan was traveling west on U.S. 287 North at approximately 3:13 p.m. when his 2024 Ford F-150 collided with a tractor-trailer near the intersection of U.S. 287 and FM 1912. Despite the tragedy unfolding in only moments, the impact left behind a lifetime of sorrow. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.
At just 21 years old, Ryan had so much life still ahead of him—dreams waiting to be fulfilled, memories yet to be made, roads yet to be traveled, and countless tomorrows that will now remain unwritten.
