According to the details provided, the collision occurred Friday night at approximately 9:10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 41 near 24th Avenue South. A motorcycle carrying a 31-year-old Tampa man and an 18-year-old Clearwater woman was involved in a collision with a Chevrolet truck. A second motorcycle traveling behind them also crashed while its rider attempted to avoid the unfolding collision.
Despite emergency medical efforts and hospitalization, the young woman and the 31-year-old Tampa man later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
