Today, we pause with heavy hearts to remember “Lil Tay,” a 21-year-old young man from the Colquitt, Georgia, area, whose life was tragically taken following a shooting on Sunday night, August 30, 2026.
According to information from the Miller County coroner, the heartbreaking incident happened at approximately 10 p.m. at the Circle K on 4th Street in Colquitt. What began as another night in the community ended in unimaginable sorrow, leaving behind a family, friends, and loved ones forced to face a pain no one should have to endure.
At only 21 years old, Lil Tay had so much life ahead of him. There were dreams still waiting to be chased, places still waiting to be visited, birthdays still waiting to be celebrated, and countless memories that should have been made. His story should have continued for many more years.
