The Springfield community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Reyna Cara, whose life was tragically cut short following an early-morning shooting on Main Street. Police responded at approximately 4:15 a.m. Sunday after a ShotSpotter alert reported gunfire near 3100 Main St. in Springfield’s North End neighborhood. Although officers initially did not find a victim at the scene, a short time later, a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound was taken by private vehicle to Baystate Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, she sadly succumbed to her injuries. Her family later identified her as Reyna Cara.
