Silvia Bahena-Mota, A Mother’s Love That Deserved More Time. 🕊️💔
Some losses are so devastating that words feel almost powerless. The tragic death of 37-year-old Silvia Bahena-Mota has left behind a heartbreaking silence—one that cannot easily be filled. Silvia was a mother, a hardworking woman, and someone remembered for the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Now, her four children are left facing a reality no child should ever have to endure: growing up without their mother.
Authorities say Silvia was found deceased inside her Tesla at her home in Tooele City, Utah, on August 31, following an alleged confrontation with her boyfriend, Daniel Ruesga. Police allege that Ruesga crashed his pickup truck into Silvia’s vehicle before fatally shooting her. Her four children, ages 4, 9, 10, and 14, were reportedly inside the home and heard the terrifying incident before discovering their mother afterward.
Beyond the headlines and heartbreaking details was a woman whose life meant so much more. Friends described Silvia as kind, generous, hardworking, welcoming, and always willing to make others feel valued. She was devoted to her children and worked tirelessly to give them love, stability, and a better tomorrow.
And now, tomorrow looks painfully different.
Four young hearts must carry memories of a mother who should have been there for birthdays, milestones, ordinary mornings, late-night conversations, and all the beautiful moments still waiting ahead.
May Silvia’s memory never be reduced to the tragedy that took her away. May she be remembered for her smile, her kindness, her strength, and most importantly, the love she gave her children.
Rest peacefully, Silvia. 🕊️💔
