Plano Tragedy Unfolds: Eliana Bigoni Found Dead as Estranged Husband Jake Bigoni Faces Murder Charge Eliana Bigoni was found dead inside the trunk of a white Hyundai in a Plano, Texas, apartment garage, while her estranged husband, 37-year-old Jake Bigoni, was later arrested and charged with murder. The heartbreaking discovery was made on August 12, 2026, after Eliana failed to meet a friend for breakfast and could not be reached. Police were called to an apartment in the 4700 block of Charles Place at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a welfare check. Eliana had been expected to meet a friend around 8:30 a.m. and was also supposed to pick up the couple’s two children, ages 2 and 5. According to the arrest affidavit, Eliana and Jake were separated and going through a divorce. Investigators were also informed about previous safety concerns involving Jake and reported allegations of violent behavior. About 30 minutes before officers arrived, Jake’s mother reportedly contacted police after receiving a call from her son. According to investigators, Jake allegedly told his mother that Eliana was dead and that the two had gotten into a fight. When officers arrived, Jake reportedly answered the door wearing a shirt with a large stain. He allegedly told police the stain came from cleaning and claimed Eliana had been at the apartment earlier but was no longer there. Investigators later determined the substance on his shirt was blood. A search of the garage led officers to the white Hyundai, where Eliana’s body was discovered inside the trunk. Authorities reported significant injuries to her face and head. The children were inside the apartment but were unharmed and were removed from the residence as investigators processed the scene. Jake was initially arrested on a felony abuse-of-corpse charge. On August 13, authorities obtained a murder warrant, and he was booked into the Collin County Jail on the additional charge. He is being held without bond. Eliana’s official cause of death had not been publicly released at the time of the latest reports. The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against Jake have not been proven in court.
