Lonnie was traveling along Fritch Highway when a large piece of concrete reportedly fell from a passing semi-truck and entered his Toyota Tundra through the windshield. The concrete struck him, causing fatal injuries and sending his vehicle off the roadway into a nearby field. Despite the devastating circumstances, his wife, who was traveling with him, was not seriously injured.
