In Loving Memory of John Hall, A Life Remembered After a Tragic Maine Plane Crash.

Bristol, Maine — With heavy hearts, John Hall, 54, of Lee, New Hampshire, is being remembered following a tragic plane crash off the coast of Bristol near Fort William Henry. Hall, the pilot of a Diamond DA20 aircraft, lost his life Thursday after the plane encountered engine trouble during a flight from Brunswick Airport toward Knox County Airport.

According to the initial investigation, the aircraft declared an emergency because of engine issues before striking terrain along the shoreline and ultimately coming to rest upside down in the ocean. Despite the tragic circumstances, the efforts of first responders and civilians helped bring both the aircraft and those aboard safely to shore.

Hall’s 21-year-old son, Tyler Hall, was also aboard the aircraft and survived the crash with minor injuries. Tyler was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. While his physical recovery is expected, the loss of his father is undoubtedly a deeply painful experience that will remain with him and his loved ones.

The Maine Medical Examiner’s Office is continuing its work to determine the official cause of John’s death. Meanwhile, the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

John Hall’s passing leaves behind family, friends, and loved ones who will remember him for the life he lived and the memories he created. May those who knew and loved John find strength and comfort during this difficult time. May his memory forever remain a blessing.

Rest in peace, John Hall. You will be remembered and deeply missed.
