Jose Nunez Quezada, Gone From Sight but Never From Our Hearts. 🕊️💔

Today, we pause with heavy hearts to remember Jose Nunez Quezada, 32, of New Haven, Connecticut, whose life has become the center of a heartbreaking search following a tragic jet ski accident on the Connecticut River near the Bissell Bridge Boat Launch in Windsor.

On Sunday evening, what began as an ordinary moment on the water suddenly turned into a devastating nightmare. Jose was reported missing after the accident, and despite the efforts of rescuers throughout the night, he remained unaccounted for as the search was suspended around 11 p.m., with authorities preparing to continue the search the following morning.

Behind every name is a story. Behind Jose’s name are memories, friendships, family, laughter, dreams and moments that can never be replaced. Thirty-two years is far too young for a life to be surrounded by such uncertainty and sorrow. For those who love him, these hours must feel impossibly long, filled with hope, fear, prayer and heartbreaking questions.

As the search continues, may every rescue worker, diver, officer and firefighter working tirelessly on the river be guided and protected. May their efforts bring answers and comfort to Jose’s loved ones.

Jose was last observed wearing a black T-shirt and dark-colored swim trunks.

Tonight, we hold Jose and his family in our thoughts and prayers. May hope remain strong, may answers come soon, and may the love surrounding Jose carry his family through this unimaginable moment.

Rest peacefully in the hearts of those who love you, Jose. Your story is not forgotten. 🕊️🙏
