Jason Arday, who became Cambridge University’s youngest-ever Black professor, has died at the age of 41, leaving family, friends, colleagues, students, and many who followed his academic journey mourning a deeply painful loss.
Arday was found unresponsive at an address in Battersea, south London, on Friday afternoon. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and that his death was being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. His next of kin were notified, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
