Thirteen-year-old Caden Morgan was a young life filled with promise, dreams, and countless moments still waiting to be lived. Today, the Lochearn community is left with a heartbreaking silence after Caden passed away on September 8, days after he was struck while riding his bicycle.
On August 28, Caden was riding along Yataruba Drive toward Essex Road when he entered the intersection and was struck by a 2017 Audi traveling northbound on Essex Road. The driver remained at the scene, while investigators continue working to understand the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash.
But beyond the investigation is a story of a child whose life mattered. Caden was only 13—an age when there should have been years of laughter ahead, new friendships to make, dreams to chase, and memories yet to create. His passing is a painful reminder of how suddenly life can change and how deeply one young soul can be missed.
There are no perfect words for a loss like this. A young life should never feel like a chapter that ends too soon. Yet although Caden’s journey has come to an unimaginable end, the memories of his life will remain—in the hearts of those who knew him, in the places where he once rode, and in every quiet moment when he is remembered.
