Because of the severity of the crash, authorities worked carefully to identify Aaron, ultimately confirming his identity through dental records with assistance from the Office of the Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

Michigan State Police are actively searching for a 39-year-old man considered armed and dangerous following a shooting reported near LaChance and Kelly roads in Missaukee County on August 14, 2026.

Authorities have identified the person of interest as Chad Hickman, who is believed to be from the Lake City/Jennings area. Investigators say Hickman may be traveling in a white pickup truck with a discolored tailgate, a detail officials hope will assist the public in recognizing the vehicle.

Michigan State Police are urging residents to exercise extreme caution and not approach Hickman if he is spotted. Because authorities consider him potentially dangerous, members of the public should avoid any attempt to confront, follow or otherwise engage with him.

Anyone who sees Hickman, recognizes the described vehicle or has information that could help investigators determine his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately and allow law enforcement to respond.

A significant police presence remains near LaChance and Kelly roads as investigators continue processing the scene, collecting evidence and working to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

According to investigators, the violence followed an earlier physical altercation involving Betty Fort and Adolphus Christopher Morris. Authorities say Morris later obtained a handgun before the deadly events unfolded.

Investigators believe Betty Fort and her daughter, Jessica Carroll, were the first victims, allegedly shot at Fort’s residence on Tom Bargeron Road. Morris then allegedly took Fort’s blue Ford pickup truck and traveled to Twin Lakes Drive, where Walter Bunch and Rebecca Oglesby were fatally shot.

Another man, Andrew “Tyler” Putnam, was also shot but survived his injuries and identified Morris as the person who allegedly shot him.

The four victims were discovered Sunday after deputies responded to separate welfare and unresponsive-person calls. They were pronounced dead at the scenes.

Raul Jimenez Dies in Clovis Dirt Bike Crash, Family’s Search Ends in Tragedy.

Raul Jimenez, 31, of Clovis, New Mexico, died in a tragic dirt bike crash early Friday, August 14, 2026, after his family reported him missing when he failed to return home from a ride. The Clovis Police Department said the incident occurred near the intersection of 8th Street and Ash Street.

According to police, Raul left his home Thursday afternoon to ride his dirt bike. His family last heard from him at approximately 7:00 p.m. Thursday and became increasingly concerned when he did not return. Around 12:15 a.m. Friday, family members contacted authorities to report him missing.

Clovis police officers began searching throughout the city in an effort to locate Raul. Their search continued until shortly after 6:30 a.m., when the Clovis Police Dispatch Center received a report of a male lying in a vacant lot near 8th Street and Ash Street.

The caller reported that the man was wearing a helmet, appeared not to be breathing, and had a motorcycle nearby. Officers with the Clovis Police Department and emergency medical personnel from the Clovis Fire Department responded and found a deceased male at the scene. He was later identified as Raul Jimenez.

The department’s Major Crash Team was activated and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
