Aaden Owen Elswick, 19, will be remembered with profound sadness and love after his life was tragically cut short following a devastating crash in western Columbus late Friday night. Though his life ended far too soon, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The collision occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Roberts Road when a sedan traveling west attempted to turn left onto Potts Place and crossed into the path of an approaching SUV. The resulting impact was devastating. Aaden was thrown from the vehicle and suffered critical injuries.
Emergency responders rushed him to a hospital, where medical professionals worked desperately to save his life. Despite their efforts, Aaden sadly succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Nineteen is far too young to say goodbye. At an age when so many dreams are still waiting to unfold, Aaden’s future was filled with possibilities that will now remain unfinished. His passing leaves behind a pain that words can scarcely express.
