With hearts shattered by a loss that words can never fully explain, we remember Shaunacie Arielle Peters, 28, of Sioux City, Iowa, whose life came to a heartbreaking and tragic end. Shaunacie was found deceased Monday morning, August 31, 2026, at Riverside Park. Authorities believe her death was the result of a homicide.
There are moments when the world seems to become painfully quiet, when the reality of losing someone so young and full of life feels impossible to accept. Shaunacie was only 28 years old—a life that should have held countless more mornings, dreams, celebrations, conversations, and beautiful memories still waiting to be made.
