Family, friends, and members of the Huntsville community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of 50-year-old Troy Russell Tyrrell Jr., of Imbler, Oregon, who was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash Thursday night in Huntsville, Alabama.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m. near the nature preserve area along Cecil Ashburn Drive in southeast Huntsville. Investigators said Tyrrell Jr. was riding his motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found him with fatal injuries. Despite all efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was also transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services for medical treatment. Officials have not yet released updates regarding their condition.
