In Loving Memory of David Seymour, A Life Remembered With Love After Lake Hartwell Tragedy.

With profound sadness, we remember David Seymour, 73, of Bowman, Georgia, whose life came to a heartbreaking end following his disappearance at Lake Hartwell. His recovery brought a painful sense of closure to a family and community that had spent weeks hoping for his safe return.

David went missing on June 20 after entering the water from a boat to retrieve an item and failing to resurface. An extensive search effort followed, with crews facing challenging conditions in an area where the lake reaches depths of nearly 100 feet and contains submerged timber.

Search teams continued their efforts despite difficult circumstances and equipment problems. Their determination never faded as they worked to locate David and bring him home. On Saturday evening, Bruce’s Legacy recovered his body from approximately 88 feet of water, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

For those who knew David, this loss is about far more than the circumstances surrounding his passing. It is about remembering a life, the moments shared, the conversations, the kindness, and the memories that will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Although grief can feel overwhelming, David’s memory can continue through the stories told by family and friends and through the lives he touched during his 73 years.

May his loved ones find comfort in one another during this difficult time. May the memories of David bring warmth amid the sorrow, and may he be remembered with dignity, love, and peace.

Rest peacefully, David Seymour. Your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved you.
