In Loving Memory of Casey Jones Foster, A Life Remembered With Love and Peace.
Casey Jones Foster, 31, of Bridgeport, Alabama, tragically lost his life on August 16, 2026, following an altercation at an apartment on County Road 476. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and everyone who knew him mourning a life taken far too soon.
Bridgeport police officers responded to a reported fight at approximately 8:13 p.m. When they arrived, Foster was found deceased inside an apartment. Members of the Bridgeport Fire Department attempted life-saving measures, but their efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful, and Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the investigation. William Cordell Cagle was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Foster’s death. The circumstances surrounding the altercation remain under investigation, and Foster’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
Beyond the tragic circumstances surrounding his death, Casey was a son, a friend, a loved one, and a person whose presence mattered to those around him. At only 31 years old, he had so much life still ahead of him and countless moments that could have been shared with the people who loved him.
