It is truly heartbreaking to hear that Larry Thomas, lovingly known as Big Larry, or Chin, has passed away. Some people come into our lives and leave a mark that time can never erase, and Larry was one of those rare souls. From the very first day, he was one of the realest people you could ever meet. He never changed, never pretended, and always remained genuine.
Larry was more than a friend. He was a listening ear when someone needed to be heard, a voice of wisdom when life became difficult, and a person who could offer the best advice with a heart full of understanding. His kindness spoke louder than words.
A simple introduction to my grandmother became the beginning of a beautiful bond. I introduced Larry to my GMA to cut her yard, but before long, she treated him like her own son. She loved him dearly and would always brag about how respectful, hardworking, and good-hearted he was. That kind of love is a testament to the person Larry truly was.
Today, our hearts are heavy. His absence leaves a silence that words cannot fill. We are hurting because we loved him, and we will continue to love him through every memory, every story, and every moment that reminds us of his presence.
