According to authorities, Holyoke police responded at approximately 2:23 a.m. to the area of High and Cabot streets after a ShotSpotter alert reported gunfire. Officers discovered Colon suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a local business. Despite life-saving efforts, he was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
