Remembering Robert Mize and Arturo Aguirre, A Tragic Loss on Oklahoma Roads.

With heavy hearts, we remember 89-year-old Robert Mize and 67-year-old Arturo Aguirre, both of Duncan, Oklahoma, whose lives were tragically lost in a devastating two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Stephens County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 11:25 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 7 and South Eastland Drive. Mize was driving southbound on Eastland Drive with Aguirre as a passenger when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling westbound on State Highway 7. Authorities said the second vehicle was being driven by a 16-year-old juvenile and was traveling at a speed described as being in excess of the posted limit.

OHP reported that Mize failed to yield at the intersection before the collision occurred. Both vehicles ultimately came to rest on the south side of State Highway 7, west of Eastland Drive.

Despite the efforts that followed the crash, Mize and Aguirre sadly died from injuries sustained in the collision. The teenage driver was also injured, though authorities have not released the extent of those injuries.

The loss of two lives serves as a painful reminder of how quickly an ordinary journey can become a heartbreaking tragedy. Robert Mize and Arturo Aguirre will be remembered by those who knew and loved them, and their absence will undoubtedly leave a lasting void in the Duncan community.

May their families find strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time. May the memories they created with their loved ones remain a source of peace, and may Robert and Arturo rest in eternal peace. Our deepest condolences go to everyone mourning their passing.
