Benjamin Dotson, Remembering a Life Taken Too Soon.

In loving memory of Benjamin Dotson, 39, of Chesterfield, Virginia, whose life was tragically cut short following a fatal hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, August 18. Benjamin was walking along the sidewalk in the 2000 block of Willis Road at approximately 9:45 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound.

The collision left Benjamin with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to an area hospital, where medical professionals worked to save his life. Sadly, despite those efforts, Benjamin later passed away from his injuries, leaving behind family, friends, loved ones, and members of his community to mourn a heartbreaking loss.

His death is a painful reminder of how quickly an ordinary evening can turn into an unimaginable tragedy. Benjamin was a son, a friend, a neighbor, and a valued member of the community. While the circumstances surrounding his final moments are being investigated, those who knew him will remember him for the life he lived and the memories he created with the people around him.

The driver involved in the crash fled the scene, and Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate in hopes of identifying the vehicle and determining what happened.

As Benjamin’s loved ones grieve, may they find strength in the memories they shared with him and comfort in knowing that his life mattered. May his memory remain a lasting reminder of the love he gave and the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Benjamin Dotson. May you never be forgotten.
