In Loving Memory of Yuvonne Allison, Remembering a Life Taken Too Soon.
With heavy hearts, we remember Yuvonne Allison, 44, of Portland, Oregon, whose life came to a heartbreaking and untimely end. Allison was discovered deceased inside a residence in the South River Road neighborhood of Lane County on Thursday after authorities received a welfare call from someone outside Oregon. Her death has left a painful void for those who knew and cared for her, as loved ones now face the difficult task of grieving someone whose life and memories meant so much.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Allison’s death as a homicide. Deputies responded to the residence after receiving the welfare request and discovered Allison inside. Detectives quickly began working to establish what happened and identify the person believed to be responsible.
Authorities said investigators quickly identified 47-year-old Tyler Earl Essex as a suspect. Essex was later located in Skagit County, Washington, where local law enforcement worked with Lane County detectives to take him into custody. According to court documents, Essex was arrested on a second-degree murder charge. The case remains within the legal process, and the allegations against Essex have not been established as a final conviction.
Beyond the investigation, Allison should be remembered as a person whose life held meaning beyond the circumstances of her death. She was a loved one, friend, neighbor, and member of her community, leaving behind memories that those closest to her will carry forward.
During this difficult time, may Allison’s family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with her. May they find strength in one another and receive the support they need while coping with this devastating loss.
Rest in peace, Yuvonne Allison. May your memory continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
