With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we remember Robert Lewis Milton, 55, of Anderson, South Carolina, whose life was tragically taken far too soon.
On the evening of September 6, Robert was riding his scooter along Jackson Street in Anderson when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver initially left the scene, while Robert was left seriously injured and fighting for his life. First responders rushed him to AnMed, but despite their efforts, he sadly passed away shortly after arriving. His death was attributed to multiple traumatic injuries and was ruled accidental.
Fifty-five years of memories, moments, laughter, friendships, and love should never be reduced to a heartbreaking headline. Behind Robert’s name was a human being who mattered deeply—someone who was known, someone who was loved, someone whose presence made a difference in the lives of others.
Tonight, a family is left with an emptiness words cannot fill. Friends are remembering conversations, familiar smiles, shared moments, and the little things that once seemed ordinary but now feel priceless.
