Wilfred Conditt Remembered With Love, Independence County Mourns an 80-Year-Old Life Lost in Highway 69 Crash.

The Newark and Independence County communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Wilfred Conditt, 80, who died Friday morning, August 21, following a devastating single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 69 near Newark, Arkansas. His passing has left loved ones, friends, and members of the community grieving the loss of a life that mattered deeply to those who knew him.

According to Arkansas State Police, Conditt was traveling north in a 2022 Ford Explorer near the Highway 69B intersection at approximately 9:23 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway. The SUV traveled up an embankment, became airborne, and rolled before coming to rest. The preliminary report indicated that no other vehicles were involved and no additional injuries were reported.

Authorities said weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash. While investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, the community is left to remember Wilfred not for the tragedy that claimed his life, but for the person he was and the memories he created throughout his 80 years.

Losing someone is never easy, and the suddenness of this tragedy makes the grief even more difficult for those closest to him. May Wilfred’s family and friends find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with him.

May his life continue to be remembered with love, dignity, and gratitude. May those who knew him carry his memory in their hearts and find peace in the days ahead.

Rest in peace, Wilfred Conditt. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
