The Newark and Independence County communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Wilfred Conditt, 80, who died Friday morning, August 21, following a devastating single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 69 near Newark, Arkansas. According to Arkansas State Police, Conditt was traveling north in a 2022 Ford Explorer near the Highway 69B intersection at approximately 9:23 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway. The SUV traveled up an embankment, became airborne, and rolled before coming to rest. The preliminary report indicated that no other vehicles were involved and no additional injuries were reported.
