In Loving Memory of Mark Rose, A Life Remembered Through Love, Family, and Cherished Memories.
There are moments when life changes in an instant, leaving behind a silence that words can never fully explain. On August 22, 74-year-old Mark Rose of Westerlo, New York, lost his life in a devastating two-vehicle crash in New Scotland, leaving family, friends, and loved ones to face the heartbreaking reality of his absence. His passing is a painful reminder of how precious every moment with someone we love truly is.
According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 6 p.m. to the intersection of State Route 32 and Tarrytown Road following reports of a serious collision. Investigators determined that an Acura traveling southbound collided head-on with a Subaru traveling northbound. Mark, who was operating the Subaru, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His passenger, 63-year-old Linda Rose, was transported to Albany Medical Center in critical condition. The Acura’s operator, 24-year-old Anthony Depoalo of Schenectady, was not injured, while passenger 26-year-old Colin Dineen sustained minor injuries.
As authorities continue their investigation and reconstruct the circumstances surrounding the crash, the people who knew Mark are left with memories that cannot be measured by an investigation or written into a report.
Today, we remember Mark not simply as a name connected to a tragic incident, but as a person whose life held meaning to those around him. May the memories he created continue to bring comfort to those mourning his passing. May his loved ones find strength during this difficult time, and may Mark’s memory remain forever close to the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Mark Rose. Your memory will not be forgotten.
