In Loving Memory of Priscila Alvares Pereira Dos Santos, Remembering a Life of Courage and Selflessness.

Priscila Alvares Pereira Dos Santos, 33, of Delran, New Jersey, will be remembered with love and deep respect following her tragic death at Amico Island Park. Priscila lost her life on August 24 after entering the Delaware River in a courageous attempt to save a young girl who was struggling in the water.

According to authorities, Priscila managed to push the child toward the shoreline, where bystanders were able to pull the girl from the water and bring her to safety. Tragically, Priscila went underwater and did not resurface. Despite an extensive search involving emergency responders and law enforcement agencies from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, her body was recovered the following morning.

Her passing is a heartbreaking loss for her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Yet, amid the sorrow, Priscila’s final act speaks powerfully about the kind of person she was. In a moment when someone else was in danger, she chose to help, putting another life before her own.

Her courage, compassion, and selflessness will remain an enduring part of her memory. While no words can fully ease the pain of losing someone so precious, her loved ones can find comfort in knowing that her actions helped bring a child to safety.

May Priscila’s memory live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. May her family and friends find strength and comfort during this difficult time. May she rest peacefully, remembered not only for how her life ended, but for the courage and kindness she showed in her final moments.
