In Loving Memory of Cameron Michael Bostick, A Life Remembered After a Tragic Highway 197 Crash.

Cameron Michael Bostick, a 21-year-old man from Dufur, Oregon, is being remembered with love and sorrow following a tragic head-on collision on Highway 197 in Wasco County on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Cameron was killed in the devastating crash, which occurred at approximately 4:11 p.m. near milepost 8.

According to the preliminary investigation, Cameron was driving a gray Ford Fusion southbound on Highway 197 when the vehicle entered the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Ram 2500 pickup. Despite the response of emergency crews, Cameron was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash also left the driver of the Ram, 35-year-old Breann Alyse Young of The Dalles, seriously injured. She was transported by Life Flight to an area hospital for medical care. A 4-year-old girl who was traveling in the pickup also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Cameron’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly a single moment can change the lives of families and communities. At just 21 years old, he had so much life ahead of him, with countless possibilities, dreams, and memories yet to be made.
