A Little Light Gone Too Soon.
Nine-year-old Lilliana Segura has passed away following a heartbreaking crash on the I-35 service road at Woodward Street in Austin, Texas, leaving behind a silence that words can never truly fill. She was taken to a local hospital after the September 9 collision, where she was later pronounced dead. A child who still had so much life ahead of her, Lilliana’s journey was tragically cut short before she could experience the many beautiful chapters that should have awaited her.
The crash happened around 7:41 a.m. at the intersection of the northbound South I-35 service road and the westbound East SH 71/Ben White service road. Lilliana was traveling in a Jeep Compass with another child and a driver when it collided with a Tesla Cybertruck. The other child remains hospitalized with critical injuries, while both drivers were also taken to hospitals for treatment.
For those who knew Lilliana, her absence will be felt in countless quiet moments—in places where her laughter once echoed, in memories that suddenly carry a deeper ache, and in the dreams of tomorrow that will never be fulfilled.
Nine years is far too short for a life. Yet even a brief life can leave a lasting imprint on the hearts it touches.
May Lilliana be remembered not only for the tragedy that took her from this world, but for the precious life she lived. May her memory remain a gentle light in the darkness, and may everyone mourning her loss find strength, comfort, and peace.
Rest peacefully, Lilliana Segura. Your time was far too short, but your memory will never be forgotten. 🕊️🕯️💔
