According to Pennsylvania State Police, Christian died after a police pursuit that ended near the beginning of the Scranton Expressway. Authorities said the pursuit began after Scranton police were investigating a burglary involving a rifle, and continued through several communities before the vehicle was stopped.

During the subsequent encounter, police reported that Christian displayed a rifle and did not comply with commands. A gunshot was heard from inside the vehicle, after which state police fired multiple rounds. Christian was taken from the vehicle and rushed to Geisinger Community Medical Center, where he later passed away.

Trevion Brewer and Amarious Williams are being remembered after a devastating shooting in LaGrange, Georgia, claimed both of their lives Monday night. What began as an ordinary evening ended in unimaginable tragedy, leaving behind grief, unanswered questions, and memories that those who knew them will carry forever.

Officers were called to an apartment complex on Hogansville Road shortly before 10 p.m. after reports that multiple people had been shot. Brewer was found outside the complex suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Inside an apartment, investigators discovered Williams with multiple gunshot wounds. Although he was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, he later succumbed to his injuries.

A juvenile was also injured in the shooting, suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. Thankfully, the injury was reported to be non-life-threatening, but no young person should ever have to experience the fear and trauma of such violence.

Police have identified Joshua Preston as the alleged suspect and said he was taken into custody. He faces charges including two counts of malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
