A Life Remembered, A Heart Forever Missed.
Some losses are impossible to put into words. They leave behind a silence that feels heavier than anything we have ever known, and a sadness that cannot simply be measured by tears. With profound sorrow, we remember Kevin P. Hynes, 62, of Wynantskill, New York, whose life was tragically cut short following a serious motor vehicle crash on Delaware Avenue in Delmar on August 24, 2026.
Kevin sustained serious injuries in the collision and fought through the days that followed. Sadly, he passed away over the weekend as a result of those injuries, leaving behind family, friends, loved ones, and all those whose lives were touched by his presence.
According to investigators, Kevin was traveling westbound on Delaware Avenue near Fisher Boulevard when another vehicle attempting to make a left turn failed to yield the right of way and began entering his lane. Kevin took evasive action to avoid the collision. During that maneuver, his vehicle entered the eastbound lane, where it was involved in a devastating head-on collision with another vehicle.
Behind every news report is a human life—a person with memories, dreams, relationships, laughter, and people who loved them. Kevin was far more than a name connected to a tragic crash. He was a son, a family member, a friend, and someone whose presence mattered deeply to those around him.
Today, we remember Kevin not for the circumstances of his passing, but for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind. Though words cannot erase the pain of losing someone dear, may the love shared with Kevin bring comfort during this heartbreaking time.
