With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we remember Randall L. Bryan, 83, of Nova, Ohio, whose life came to a tragic and heartbreaking end on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

That evening, a quiet community was shaken when an elderly man was discovered floating in a pond along County Road 40 in northern Ashland County. Emergency crews responded swiftly, but sadly, Randall could not be saved. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ruggles-Troy Fire Department, Firelands EMS, and the Coroner’s Office came together at the scene as a family’s world was forever changed.

Authorities have reported that there were no criminal indicators associated with the incident, while the circumstances and exact cause of Randall’s death have not been released.

Behind every name is a lifetime of memories—a collection of moments, conversations, smiles, struggles, kindnesses, and stories that can never truly disappear.
