Today, we pause with heavy hearts to remember Pamela Ellis, 56, whose life was tragically taken in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 6, 2026.
At approximately 1:56 a.m., officers responded to North State Street at Briarwood Drive after receiving reports that a woman was lying in the roadway. There, they discovered Pamela, who had been struck by an unknown vehicle in what authorities are investigating as a heartbreaking hit-and-run fatality.
In the silence of that early morning, a life was suddenly taken, leaving behind a family and loved ones who must now face a pain that words can never fully explain. Pamela was more than a name in a report. She was someone who was loved, someone whose presence mattered, someone whose memories will now be held close by those who knew her.
The road may eventually grow quiet again, but the sorrow left behind will not disappear so easily. A mother, sister, relative, friend, or cherished loved one is now deeply missed, and countless memories will forever carry the imprint of Pamela’s life.
