In Loving Memory of Keith R. Havenstrite Jr. A Life Remembered With Love.
Keith R. Havenstrite Jr., a 36-year-old man from Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, will be remembered with deep love and profound sadness following his tragic passing in a head-on collision late Thursday night in Salem Township, Wayne County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened around 11:41 p.m. on Hamlin Highway near Goose Pond Road. Keith was driving a 2010 Subaru Impreza when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He suffered fatal injuries in the devastating crash, and Wayne County Coroner Edward Howell pronounced him dead at the scene.
While the circumstances surrounding Keith’s final moments are heartbreaking, his life was far more than the tragedy that claimed it. At just 36 years old, he had undoubtedly touched the lives of family members, friends, neighbors, and others who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence now leaves a painful space that words can never truly fill.
The crash also injured 51-year-old Kevin J. Martinell and 79-year-old Janet R. Roberts, both of Scranton. Martinell suffered suspected minor injuries, while Roberts sustained suspected serious injuries. Both were transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center for treatment.
