In Loving Memory of Maxine Ohakim, A Life Remembered With Love.

With heavy hearts, we remember Maxine Ohakim, 36, whose life was tragically cut short following a single-vehicle crash on Columbus’ east side early Saturday morning. Maxine was the sole occupant of a white Honda CR-V that was entering the Interstate 270 northbound ramp from East Main Street at approximately 3:03 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but, sadly, later passed away.

While the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, the pain of losing a loved one is already deeply felt by those who knew and cherished Maxine. A life cannot be measured by the circumstances of its final moments, but by the memories, kindness, laughter, love, and moments shared along the way.

Today, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing Maxine are left to remember the person she was and the place she held in their hearts. Her absence will undoubtedly be felt in countless ways—in familiar conversations, treasured memories, and the quiet moments when those who loved her wish they could hear her voice once more.

May Maxine’s memory remain a source of comfort to everyone mourning this heartbreaking loss. May the love she gave and the memories she created continue to live on through those she leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Maxine Ohakim. Though your time was far too short, your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved you. May you never be forgotten, and may your loved ones find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead. 🕊️💔
