LUBBOCK, Texas — In loving memory of James Dunn, 74, whose life came to a heartbreaking end following a motorcycle crash in Lubbock. Dunn’s passing has left a lasting sense of sorrow among those who knew him, as family, friends, and loved ones mourn a life that was lost after an August collision.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, officers were called to the 5600 block of 82nd Street at approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, following reports of a collision involving injuries. When officers arrived, they found Dunn suffering from moderate injuries. He declined medical treatment at the scene.

Police later learned that Dunn had died on August 17, and the Major Crash Investigation Unit was notified on August 20. Authorities are investigating whether his death was connected to injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators said Dunn had been traveling west on 82nd Street and was attempting to turn south onto Elkhart when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck traveling east.

No other injuries were reported in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the incident.
