On a Saturday evening, what should have been an ordinary walk along Old Wilson Road in Rocky Mount became a devastating moment that changed everything. Simone was walking with her young child when she was struck by a pickup truck. Though her child was thankfully not injured, the loss of a mother is a pain that can never truly be measured.
