IN LOVING MEMORY OF PIERRE DAMAS BEL: A BEAUTIFUL LIFE, A BRIGHT FUTURE, AND A HEART THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

    PIERRE DAMAS BEL.

A BEAUTIFUL LIFE, A BRIGHT FUTURE, AND A HEART THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we remember Pierre Damas Bel, a young man whose life held so much promise, so many dreams, and a future that should have been filled with endless possibilities.

Pierre was more than a name in a heartbreaking story. He was a son, a friend, a student, and a young man who loved soccer and found pride in being part of JROTC. At only 20 years old, he had already overcome so much and was stepping into a new chapter of life at Wright State University, where he hoped to study neuroscience and build a meaningful future.

Those who loved Pierre knew the light within him—the dreams he carried, the determination in his heart, and the life he was still preparing to live. Yet today, that future has been tragically cut short, leaving behind questions, tears, and an emptiness that words can barely describe.

No family should have to say goodbye to someone so young. No father should have to carry the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Pierre’s absence will be felt in every memory shared, every soccer field that reminds loved ones of his passion, and every dream that now remains unfinished.

May we remember Pierre not only for the circumstances surrounding his passing, but for the person he was and the beautiful life he deserved to continue living.

Rest peacefully, Pierre. May your soul find the gentleness and peace that this world sometimes fails to give. You were here. You mattered. You were loved.

Forever remembered. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts. 🕊️🤍

    DANIEL J. O’CONNOR.

A LIFE REMEMBERED, A SOUL FOREVER MISSED.

Today, hearts are heavy as the community mourns the heartbreaking and tragic loss of Daniel J. O’Connor, a 77-year-old man whose life came to a devastating end near Sportsman Park in Poplar Bluff.

On September 2, Daniel was found in a grassy area near the boat ramp, leaving behind questions, sorrow, and a profound sense of loss. As authorities continue their investigation and a suspect remains in custody, we pause to remember that beyond the headlines and heartbreaking details was a human life—a life that mattered and a soul whose absence will be deeply felt.

Seventy-seven years represent a lifetime of memories, experiences, relationships, struggles, laughter, and moments that can never be replaced. Somewhere in those years were stories only Daniel could tell, places only he remembered, and people whose lives were touched simply because he was here.

It is always painful when a life ends, but when it happens under such tragic circumstances, the grief can feel even heavier. May those who knew and loved Daniel find strength in the memories they shared and comfort in knowing that love does not disappear when someone leaves this world.

Today, we send our deepest condolences to Daniel’s family, friends, and everyone grieving this unimaginable loss. May justice follow the truth, and may peace eventually find its way into the hearts left broken behind.

Rest peacefully, Daniel J. O’Connor. Your journey on earth has ended, but your name, your memories, and the life you lived will never be forgotten. Gone from sight, but forever held in loving memory. 🕊️🕯️🤍

     VANOL “BAB SCO” LUCKY.

A LIGHT TAKEN FAR TOO SOON. 🕊️💔

The city of Mobile is mourning tonight as hearts grow heavy over the heartbreaking loss of Vanol Lucky, affectionately known as “Babsco” or “VL.” Only 22 years old, Vanol’s life was tragically cut short, leaving behind unanswered questions, unimaginable sorrow, and a silence that no family or community should ever have to endure.

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded to Gethsemane Cemetery, where Vanol was found deceased between two gravesites. Authorities say he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, and an investigation into his death remains ongoing.

Twenty-two years old is far too young. There were still pages left to write, dreams left to chase, memories left to create, and moments that should have belonged to the future. Now, those who knew and loved him are left holding onto the memories of the young man they called Babsco… VL… Vanol.

May his name never be reduced to the circumstances of his passing. May he be remembered for the life he lived, the presence he carried, and the place he held in the hearts of those who loved him.

Mobile County and the City of Mobile deserve answers. His loved ones deserve answers. And above all, Vanol deserves justice.

If you know anything about Vanol’s final hours or have information that could help investigators, please contact the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office at 251-574-8633.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF CHAD A. HESS: A FATHER’S LOVE WILL ECHO FOREVER. 🕊️🏍️

    A FATHER’S LOVE WILL ECHO FOREVER. 🕊️🏍️

Some goodbyes arrive without warning, leaving behind a silence so heavy that words can barely carry the weight of what has been lost. Today, hearts are broken as family, friends, and an entire community mourn the heartbreaking loss of Chad A. Hess, a beloved 46-year-old father whose life was tragically cut short following a motorcycle crash in Northampton County.

Chad was more than the circumstances of his final moments. He was a father, a son, a friend, and a person whose presence held meaning in the lives of those fortunate enough to know and love him. His journey may have ended far too soon, but the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Perhaps the most heartbreaking words come from his son, Jacob, who shared his love and promised to keep his father’s memory alive. There is something eternal about a father’s place in his child’s heart. Though Chad may no longer be here to offer another conversation, another embrace, or another moment together, the lessons, laughter, and love he shared will remain.

As flowers are laid and loved ones gather to remember him, may every tear become a tribute to a life that mattered deeply.

Rest peacefully, Chad. May the road ahead be gentle, the heavens welcome you home, and your memory forever ride beside those who loved you most.

Gone from sight, but never from the heart. Forever loved. Forever remembered. 🕊️❤️🏍️

IN LOVING MEMORY: Phillip and Bernice Colvard, Together in Life and Forever in Love.

Phillip and Bernice Colvard, Together in Life and Forever in Love.

Some losses leave behind a silence so profound that words can barely reach it. Today, our hearts are heavy as we remember Phillip R. Colvard, 68, and Bernice D. Colvard, 57, a beloved Willits couple whose lives were tragically taken far too soon.

On August 30, what should have been another ordinary day became an unimaginable moment of heartbreak. Their journey ended near Mariposa Creek and Bear Canyon roads, leaving behind a community touched by sorrow and countless hearts struggling to understand such a devastating loss.

But beyond the tragedy, may Phillip and Bernice be remembered for something far greater—the lives they lived, the love they shared, and the memories they created together. There is something deeply moving about a life shared side by side: through ordinary days and unforgettable moments, through laughter, challenges, hopes, and dreams. Their story was intertwined, and their names will now forever be spoken together with love and remembrance.

No family should have to say goodbye so suddenly. No words can truly heal the emptiness left behind when two cherished lives are gone. Yet love does not disappear when someone leaves this world. It remains—in memories, in stories, in the hearts of those who knew them, and in every quiet moment when their absence is felt most deeply.

May Phillip and Bernice rest peacefully together. May their loved ones find strength in the beautiful memories they leave behind.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Together forever, remembered always. Rest in eternal peace. 🕊️🤍
